Maureen’s professional experience has focused on supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds with a variety of emotional and psychological needs. In doing she has developed a methodology to assist clients in achieving their maximum potential; educationally, professionally, socially and personally. This work, combined with a keen interest and sensitivity in relating to others, has become the foundation upon which she has built her psychotherapy practice. Professional services include individual psychotherapy, Youth Counselling, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and Anxiety Therapy.

Degrees in Education and Psychology led Maureen to secondary education where she developed a sensitivity to the stresses that our teachers and students are experiencing. Later Maureen pursued her interest in Psychotherapy and received training at the Toronto Institute for Relational Psychotherapy. She is a registered member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a clinical member of the Ontario Society of Psychotherapists (OSP).

Maureen’s varied experience compliments her expertise and has evolved into a thriving therapy practice with offices in both Barry’s Bay and Toronto.

Rates

Maureen’s fees are consistent with the guidelines suggested by the College of Registered Psychotherapists (CRPO)

Maureen Roe is a Registered Provider with HCAI (Motor Vehicle Accident therapy), WSIB (workplace injuries)

Payment Options

The services provided by a psychotherapist in private practice are not covered by provincial health insurance plans (OHIP). In most cases you will be billed directly. You may have extended health benefits through your employer that covers all or a portion of the cost of psychotherapy services. The cost of psychotherapy services may be covered through an Employee Assistance Program. You may be able to deduct psychological services as a medical expense on your income taxes and deduct them as a business expense.
