Unfortunately most natural/alternative health care services are NOT covered by OHIP (with the exception of certain Physiotherapy protocols). There sometimes is coverage by 3rd party/workplace insurance plans for such therapies as: Acupuncture, Chiropractic, Massage Therapy, Naturopathic Medicine, Orthotics, and Psychotherapy. To be sure, we recommend you check with your policy to know what is covered in advance of your appointment. Receipts are issued by all therapists for services, and some fees can be claimed as an “allowable medical expense” for income tax purposes.
